About the Position: The incumbent serves under the general administrative supervision of the Chief, Strategic Initiatives Group, Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, G-9 (ODCS, G-9).
Relocation incentive MAY be authorized by IAW agency policy.
Duties
Serve as a senior advisor to the Deputy Chief of Staff, G-9 with respect to the development and review of program and budget documentation for Army Military Construction (MILCON), BRAC, environmental, energy, OMA, NAF, programs.
Develop relationships with Congressional armed services committees to coordinate responses to Congress on Army installations programs.
Provide comprehensive technical advice and assistance to Army organizations regarding legislative language and Congressional authorizations.
Monitor the progress of construction projects contained in annual and future MILCON programs.
Analyze the Congressional Affairs programs of the other Services to review a means to improve Army procedures and processes.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Obtain and Maintain Secret Security Clearance.
- Temporary Travel Duty may be up to 5%.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes coordinating the development of program justifications such as Congressional testimony, Congressional inquiries, posture papers to defend installation base operations support, military construction, facilities, housing, infrastructure, quality of life, prevention of harmful behaviors programs and/or budgets; Preparing leadership for congressional hearings or professional staff member briefings; and analyzing appeal issues to congressional committee actions during budget mark-ups.
