About the Position: This position serves as a Supply Technician of the Pharmacy Services at Winn Army Community Hospital located in Fort Stewart, GA.

Duties

Review daily transaction reports to ensure items issued are appropriate, in the correct quantities, and charged to the correct account. Perform continuous stock position analysis to ensure the correct materiel and authorized quantities are available to meet current and future needs. Utilize the Defense Military Medical Logistics Supply System (DMMLSS) or a similar system to process requests and document receipts. Coordinate with customers for urgent, critical shortages, and other special items. Maintain the drug formulary using the Military Health System (MHS) GENESIS or similar system. Manage required pharmaceutical contracts, leases, rentals or purchase agreements.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position is subject to a background investigation to determine your suitability for Federal employment.
  • This position has mandatory seasonal Influenza vaccination requirements and is subject to annual seasonal Influenza vaccinations unless otherwise exempted for medical or religious reasons (documentation of exemption must be provided upon hire).
  • Hepatitis B: Immunization screening may be required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
  • This position may require the incumbent to have Tuberculosis testing.
  • Lifting up to 40 pounds may be required.
  • This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
  • All applicants tentatively selected for this position will be required to submit a urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment.
  • This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random drug testing, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
  • This position is required to work uncommon tours of duty hours such as, on-call, working either fixed or rotating shifts, evenings, weekends and/or holidays.
  • This position has been designated as Mission Essential. In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations, the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
  • This position has been designated as Inclement Weather Essential. The incumbent must make every attempt to report for work on time and/or remain on duty during severe weather conditions.
  • This position requires incumbent to obtain and maintain a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) Certification or State Pharmacy Technician License.
  • This position requires incumbent to obtain and maintain a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from, or in accordance with, the American Heart Association and American Red Cross. Advanced certification (e.g., ALS) does not supersede BLS.
  • One-year probationary period may be required.
  • This position may require business travel up to 5% of the time.
