About the Position: Responsible to plan, program, develop and determine the requirements, redistribution of property, account for inventory, maintenance, requisition, issue and receipt of all supplies, materials and furnishings for family housing, unaccompanied personnel and troop furnishings and Directorate of Public Works equipment.

Duties

Conduct annual inventory of all furnishings and equipment and reports results. Maintain records of inventory, condition, and utilization. Coordinate with personnel in other organizational elements to assure agreement of records and to reconcile differences. Maintain accurate and current records of property transactions as a basis for establishing experience factors and requirements computation. Perform accounts maintenance work associated with financial inventory accounting of a separate and independent stock record account.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position has a requirement to lift up to 50lbs. in the regular performance of duties and will require a physical.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
  • This position requires a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) Tier 1 Background Investigation.
  • Incumbent is required to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, (5CFRPart 2634, Subpart I Confidential Financial Disclosure Reports) upon entering the position and annually, in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
  • This position requires the employee to use personal protective equipment provided by the employer.
  • This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.

Or Education: Have successfully completed a half year (i.e., 9 semester hours) of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Business, Supply, or Logistics. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) Or Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 9. Add the two percentages. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
