About the Position: Responsible for the supply management of specialized training and target equipment, devices, targets, simulators, and other unique equipment.
Duties
Interpret supply and accountability-related regulations and technical publications, defining impact of new or revised policies.
Establish or revises operating procedures to be followed internally and by customers served.
Coordinate with other installation activities/units in order to provide quality service in the information management supply area.
Provide technical advice and assistance to Range Control and other operating elements on matters pertaining to supply, storage, installation, maintenance, transportation, and the disposal of target devices and other unique equipment.
Review proposed purchases to ensure they are in accordance with fiscal year property plan, review justifications, and recommendations for property requests not on the plan.
Responsible for requisition of supplies and equipment through on/off post supply sources.
Operate a government vehicle and material handling equipment (10K forklift) to pick up supplies, material, equipment, tools, and etc. from supply organizations located in and around the installation and in the local vicinity
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time.
- This position may require working evenings, holidays, and weekends.
- This position has a requirement to lift up to 50lbs. in the regular performance of duties.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a Forklift Operator Certification (10,000 pounds or less).

Education: Have successfully completed a half year (i.e., 9 semester hours) of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Business, Supply, or Logistics. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 9. Add the two percentages.
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
