About the Position: Serves as Chief of Property Management Section, and Property Book Officer, located at Fort Stewart GA.

Duties

Serves as Chief of Property Management Section serving as the authority on property and supply issues on all matters pertaining to Supply Acquisition and Property Accountability. Responsible for supervising authorization, requisition, receipt, accounting, control, issue, storage, lateral transfer, return and disposal of expendable, non-expendable, standard, nonstandard, medical and durable property items and equipment. Provides staff advice and guidance to command elements and to regional MTF representatives. Manages the administrative operations of the Medical Care Support Equipment (MEDCASE-equipment over $250,000)/Capital Expense Equipment Programs (CEEP-equipment under $250,000) for MACH, VETCOM, and DENTAC units. Develops reports in response to recurring and/or special financial requirements.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • One- year supervisory probationary period required. A one-year probationary period is required if the selectee has not previously met this requirement.
  • A pre-placement medical examination may be required.
  • Heavy lifting of up to 50 lbs. may be required.
  • This position may require the incumbent to travel for business (TDY) up to 50% .
