You will serve as a SUPERVISORY IT PROGRAM MANAGER in the Expeditionary Warfare Training Group, Pacific of EXPED WARFARE TRNG GRP PACIFIC.

Duties

You will advise the Commanding Officer on all matters relating to the command's M and S, Wargaming and Information Technology mission, program goals, and objectives. You will assist in establishing plans to include structure, workload estimation techniques, workforce identification (military, civilian, contract), planning for future objectives. You will manage military, civilian and contractor personnel on the behalf of the N2/N6 Director to obtain effective and efficient systems integration in order to conduct exercise scenarios directly supporting operations and training of units. You will align organizational goals and objectives as directed by the N2/N6 Director and in accordance with the Commanding Officer’s guidance to enable translation of Coalition, Joint and Navy/Marine Corps training requirements. You will be the principal assistant in managing the command's Information Technology program to provide information services within a joint training environment in the areas of information technology, information assurance, and wargaming.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Overseeing Wargaming, Modeling & Simulation (M & S), and Information Technology to assist in managing Joint Expeditionary Warfare programs in the conduct of distributed training for successful wargaming.
