Duties

You will manage and maintain overall responsibility of the Joint Expeditionary Warfare Lab (JEWL) LVC support including event coordination, development, scheduling, and administrative issues related to all LVC support from JEWL. You will oversee JEWL LVC system integration, which trains staff on C4I architecture replicating at-sea functionality in an LVC environment. You will provide consolation, implantation assistance, planning and technical support for in house and distributed type LVC events from the JEWL. You will conduct site surveys, develop detailed plans, formulate independent government cost estimates, determine timelines and establish Plan of Action and Milestones for new projects and priorities.

  • This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area DoDM 8140.03 within 12 months of appointment.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Experience Experience must be IT related; the experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate GS-5 through GS-15 (or equivalent): For all positions individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. The employing agency is responsible for identifying the specific level of proficiency required for each competency at each grade level based on the requirements of the position being filled. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. and Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Event coordination, development, scheduling, and administrative issues related to all Live, Virtual and Constructive support; Experience in networks, modeling and simulation, and other technical solutions; AND leading a development project in software analysis, design, development, and implementation for a new system or major enhancement to an existing system.
