You will serve as a DEFENSE LITIGATION INVESTIGATION SPECIALIST in the STAFF JUDGE ADVOCATE TO THE COMMANDANT of HQ US MARINE CORPS.
Duties
You will conducting an expert analysis of the defense case to determine appropriate case preparation and investigation steps.
You will produce deliverables and other related reports or documentary evidence pertaining cases which are specifically requested by counsel.
You will independently plan, organize and conduct investigations in support of defense attorneys representation.
You will develop investigative reports for facilitating determination of appropriate actions by assigned defense counsel and client.
You will identify, locate, and obtains potential evidence and data in preparation of defense cases.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: conducting an expert analysis of the defense case to determine appropriate case preparation and investigation steps and take individual actions in pursuit of those steps; providing deliverables requested by counsel and developing investigative reports upon completion of each assignment.
