You will serve as a ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT within NLSC.
Duties
You will serve as an Authorizing Official (AO)/Certifying Officer (CO) for the Defense Travel System (DTS) program, approving Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) and local travel.
You will provide technical and authoritative guidance on the Government Travel Credit Card (GTCC) program, ensuring compliance with regulations.
You will report issues such as unpaid balances, NSF checks, and suspected misuse of travel cards to the appropriate command and security manager.
You will maintain open communication with internal and external customers to support enterprise travel processes and ensure effective customer service.
You will advise on proper travel procedures, internal requirements, and audit guidelines while coordinating with team members to track and complete travel requests.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Demonstrating expertise in reviewing travel authorizations and vouchers to ensure compliance with regulations and policies.
2) Coordinating effectively with internal and external customers to provide necessary assistance and support for travel program tasks.
3) Maintaining communication with team members to advise and guide enterprise personnel through processes and requirements.
4) Providing technical and authoritative guidance on the interpretation and application of relevant travel regulations and policies.
