Duties
You will be responsible for development, oversight, and execution of SEA 04 Congressional and Public Affairs efforts.
You will act as the SEA 04 point of contact for inquiries from Navy staff, the OSD, the U.S. Congress, other federal agencies, the media, and others.
You will support senior leadership in the development and execution of the legislative planning strategy for SEA 04.
You will develop answers to questions and responses to inquiries received from Members of Congress, their staffs, and officials of Legislative Branch agencies, including the Government Accountability Office, and other interested organizations.
You will be responsible for developing informational briefs, reports, plans, and other material requested by or required to be delivered to Members of Congress, their staffs, Legislative Branch agencies, etc.
You will maintain in-depth understanding of Navy maintenance and industrial operations issues and programs and must be able to assimilate and communicate information across a broad spectrum of program areas.
You will maintain a high level of engagement with the Public Affairs Officers and senior leadership at the four Naval Shipyards and advise them on SEA 04 initiatives, programs, and policies.
You will be responsible for developing and executing the strategy for all SEA 04 media and public affairs.
You will act in an advisory capacity to senior leadership in determining how to best communicate the views of the Directorate.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band, NH-03 (or GS-13 equivalent), in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector advising management on programmatic or legislative planning to develop and implement improvement and efficiency strategies while ensuring alignment with initiatives, legislative proposals, programs, or policies.
