About the Position: Serves as the Administrator of Medical Center of Excellence Numbered Courses for the Medical Center of Excellence located Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio, Texas. The U.S. Army Medical Center of Excellence is located in beautiful and historic San Antonio and is within easy commuting distance of desirable neighborhoods and excellent school system

Duties

Controls the administrative aspects of special Army Medical Department training programs. Monitors obligation rates, prepares monthly reports of fund utilization for program managers. Prepares and revises portions of Army Regulations and publications pertaining to special medical education and training policies. Supervises a small staff. Compiles, presents, and justifies the credit hours for accreditation review by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance.
  • This position requires the employee to meet Financial Management Certification Level III requirements as a condition of employment.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and ManagementControl of FundsManaging Human Resources Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
