You will serve as a Defense Policy Review Initiative (DPRI) Operations Planner in the S-5 Directorate of MARINE CORPS BASE HAWAII.

Duties

You will represent the CO in coordination with other officials of parallel or higher levels internal and external to MCBH. You will establish planning relationships with all stakeholders in order to support the MCBH mission to provide resilient and secure training and operational support, facilities, and services. You will serve as the subject matter expert on military operations, with an emphasis on Marine Corps Air Ground Task Force (MAGTF) operations and planning. You will be responsible for deliberate and mid to long-range operational planning. Develops, reviews, and monitors all DPRI operational plans and concept plans, including Time Phased Force Deployment Data lists (TPFDDs). You will develop policy, guidance, position papers, instructions, and reports related to DPRI operational planning.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing complex planning, project management, and technical skills in the implementation of deliberate and long range operational planning to a wide range of facilities requirements to include aviation and ground weapons systems, training and readiness.
