About the Position: Serves as a Project Management Assistant (PMA) in any branch or team in the Programs and Project Management Division (PPDM), with responsibility for providing technical and clerical assistance and computer support. Duties contribute to the accomplishment of the PPMD mission for designated customers. Serves as backup to other PMAs assigned to various branches during their absence or during period of unusual work volume.

Duties

Serves as a project manager assistant, responsible for helping the overall management, control, coordination and execution of assigned reimbursable programs and projects. Utilizing various automated information systems (e.g., P2, CEFMS, RMS, PAX, etc.) to retrieve, organize and analyze project and financial data. Prepares input for such purposes as Project Review Boards, Resource Execution Planning Reviews, Trip Books, Line Item Reviews and Congressional visits. Receives visitors and answers telephone calls. Keeps time and attendance records and handles related problems.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation (Tier-1).
  • This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
  • Up to 10% business travel may be required.
  • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
  • One year trial/probationary period may be required.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).
