About the Position: Savannah is located on the Georgia/South Carolina border on the Atlantic Ocean and is easily accessible by I-95 and I-16. Duties
Communicate with supervisors, center of standardization contacts, co-workers and others to provide guidance and services
Receive incoming correspondence, emails, phone calls and recommends staff assignment for action.
Drafts reports and prepares briefing presentations with supplementary explanatory material to meet the needs of the supervisor.
Prepare administrative reports, correspondence, and responses based upon knowledge of organization, regulatory requirements, engineering regulations, and administrative staff procedures.
Use office automation equipment and software to prepare correspondences, memorandums, purchase authorizations and requests, and other types of documents.
Use financial database to research, retrieve, monitor, analyze, create, and update statistical data.
Maintain records on facility standards, task orders, contracts, and documents lessons learned.
Respond to routine and non-technical request for information such as contract cost, financial documents, program data, suspense dates and similar information readily available from data bases and/or project files.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience GS-06: One year of specialized experience which includes: One year of specialized experience which includes general office duties such as purchasing supplies, handling of email, telephone calls, and visitors, reviewing outgoing correspondence, providing or following up on requests for information, using Corps of Engineers Financial Management System to obtain or provide data and assembling reports, and using electronic word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Power Point.
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
Additional Minimum Qualifications
This position requires a typing proficiency of at least 40 words per minute (WPM) based on a 5-minute sample with 3 or fewer errors.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).
