Duties

You will serve as the Housing Program Manager and is a subject matter expert for all Family, Unaccompanied and Transient Housing matters. You will plan, program, budget and execute requirements relative to funding for housing programs assigned. You will be responsible for apprising higher authority on the status of military members occupying PPV (Public-Private Venture) housing. You will develop, prepare, review, monitor and implement as appropriate, installation actions and programs pertaining to the DoD program for housing and/or billeting of military personnel and families. You will be responsible for providing training on home buying, mortgages, home selling and property management. You will be responsible for development, justification and defense of budgets, such as three-year budget and five-year management plan based on known and anticipated requirements. You will plan, schedule and coordinate the work among office specialists; resolve conflicts; interpret policy; and determine methodology in completing assignments.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or Final Secret Security Clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
  • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Developing housing management plans and procedures; providing advice on matters related to the management, operation, and utilization of housing assets and facilities; drafting and supporting all required programming, and budget execution requirements; and supervising, managing and directing the work of subordinate personnel.
