Duties

You will plan, organize, and perform work required to ensure proper customer service and compliance with appropriate mandates of the Housing Program. You will receive and process complaints and related investigations concerning residents to leadership. You will process requests for permanent and temporary quarters. You will conduct joint tenant-management walk-throughs of quarters to evaluate the cleanliness, maintenance, and habitability of the unit, furnishings, equipment, and facilities. You will monitor maintenance, property management, and service contracts.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
  • You will be required to possess and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • Employee may be required to wear protective gear including hard hats, boots, and coveralls while visiting housing units or facilities undergoing inspection, repair, maintenance, or renovations.
  • This is a bargaining unit position.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: ensuring proper customer service and compliance with appropriate mandates of the Housing Program; receiving and processing complaints and related investigations concerning residents; processing requests for permanent and temporary quarters; scheduling and coordinating the maintenance and repair of housing units and conducting follow-up inspections to verify that discrepancies are corrected. Education

You may also meet the minimum qualifications through one of the following:

1 full year of graduate level education

or

Superior academic achievement

or

Have a combination of specialized experience and education that equates to one year of experience. Your percentage of the required education plus your percentage of the required experience equal 100 percent.
