As a Program Manager (Prevention), you will oversee a People Pilot Program and other Prevention Programs (i.e. Suicide Prevention, Risk Reduction, People First Center, Installation Reception Center, and other programs as directed) in support of the III Armored Corps Senior Commander. This position is located in Fort Cavazos, Texas.
Duties
Conduct meetings with high level officials to develop policies, procedures, and recommendations.
Develop prevention program polices and procedures through collaboration with stakeholders including high level officials, outside agencies, and subordinate units.
Exercise a full range of personnel management responsibilities for the People Pilot and all other assigned programs.
Direct, manage, and supervise subordinate professional/administrative staff to ensure the accomplishment of goals.
Ensure strategic coordination to allow for the and integration of pilot and prevention programs.
Provide professional advice and serve as the principal advisor in the command's strategic integration planning and decision-making process.
Exercise managerial and operational control for the strategic planning, review, study, and analysis of prevention activates.
Oversee program planning, management, analyses, evaluation and execution of the People Pilot and associated prevention programs to meet strategic objectives.
Requirements

- This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one-year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes demonstrated experience 1)Directing a multitude of functions for an organizations prevention program to include establishing guidance, and implementing new or revised policies,2) Providing input to long term prevention program plans to guide organizational strategic goals, 3) Briefing high level officials on prevention program policies impact and implementation, and 4) Performing a full range of employee supervisory duties to include performance evaluation, interviews, selection, and resolving employee grievances. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14).
