About the Position: As a Program Manager (Prevention), you will oversee a People Pilot Program and other Prevention Programs (i.e. Suicide Prevention, Risk Reduction, People First Center, Installation Reception Center, and other programs as directed) in support of the III ArmoredCorps (IIAC) Senior Commander. This position is located in Fort Cavazos, Texas.
Duties
Oversees program planning, management, analyses, evaluation and execution of the Fort Cavazos People Pilot and other prevention programs (i.e. Suicide Prevention, Risk Reduction, People First Center, Installation Reception Center, etc.).
Exercises management, operational control, strategic planning, review, study, and analysis over assigned programs/projects in support of Fort Cavazos Senior Commander.
Ensures continuous strategic coordination, update, and integration of pilot and prevention programs and resources; AND provides oversight in the development and accomplishment of program policies, plans, procedures, milestones, and timelines.
Participates in meetings with FORSCOM, other ACOMs, other Services, the Department of the Army and various Army Senior Leaders, and with Federal and private-industry professional agencies.
Develops policies, procedures, makes recommendations and brainstorm issues/resolutions supporting the planning, operation, economy, effectiveness, and efficiency of prevention program/mission.
Provides professional advice and serves as the principal advisor and key partner in the command's strategic integration planning and decision-making process.
Uses program analysis and management information systems to inform stakeholders during chair meetings about people pilot program/project plans and execution.
Monitors work in progress and reviews completed work of others ensuring all deadlines and priorities are met.
Exercises a full range of delegated personnel management responsibilities for the People Pilot and all programs and all assigned divisions.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service which includes managing a People Pilot Program and all Prevention Programs for an organization (i.e. Suicide Prevention, Risk Reduction, People First Center, Installation Reception Center, etc.) and assisting with the development of policy, guidance, and program reviews; AND overseeing all prevention operations and Soldier and Family Program resourcing. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-14).
Applicants must meet all eligibility requirements and minimum qualification requirements prescribed by OPM within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.
