As a supervisor/manager, the selectee for this position will be eligible to receive a Manager Performance Incentive (MPI) provided eligibility requirements noted in agency policy are met. The MPI is an annual lump-sum incentive payment that considers agency performance, the manager's individual performance, and available funding.Provides support to the Director regarding day-to-day operations, providing expert advice, technical support, and coordination for technical operations.
Duties
This position serves as a General Manager (GM) of one of 22 Districts in the Air Traffic Organization (ATO), Air Traffic Services (AJT), Eastern, Central or Western Service Areas. The GM oversees and directs a highly technical workforce in a complex, multi-disciplined organization responsible for the safe, efficient, and structured movement of aircraft within the National Airspace System (NAS). The GM applies extensive technical expertise in NAS systems, equipment and procedures to coordinate air traffic operations, technical workforce found in specific districts consisting of numerous air traffic facilities of varying size, type, and complexity.
Requirements
- US Citizenship is required.
- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
- Must submit an SF50 (See Required Documents).
- A one-year supervisor/managerial probationary period may be required.
- Pay rates for FAA employees, including locality are capped by law at $221,900.00.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to FV-K, FG/GS-15.
