As a supervisor/manager, the selectee for this position will be eligible to receive a Manager Performance Incentive (MPI) provided eligibility requirements noted in agency policy are met. The MPI is an annual lump-sum incentive payment that considers agency performance, the manager's individual performance, and available funding.Serves as Deputy Director for the office of Airports, Airports Division Southwest Region.

Duties

In the absence of the Director, the incumbent assumes full responsibility and authority in the operation of the Airports Division's aviation programs. Serves as the first level supervisor for several Branch and Airport District Office (ADO) Managers. Most ADOs are located remotely and oversee multiple large hub airports with complex aviation issues.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
  • Must submit an SF50 (See Required Documents)
  • Designated or Random Drug Testing required.
  • A one-year supervisory/managerial probationary period may be required.
  • Security Requirements: Non-critical sensitive: This position requires completion & favorable adjudication of a Tier 3 (T3) background investigation prior to appointment, unless a waiver is obtained and approved.
  • This is not a remote position. The incumbent is expected to report to the assigned duty station for this position.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the FV-K/FG-15. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.Specialized experience is experience leading and developing employees and directing technical or management-level involvement in processes related to transportation capital improvement program planning, environmental review of transportation infrastructure development, and/or surface transportation or aviation-related financial processes.You should include relevant examples of the specialized experience in your work history.
