About the Position: Incumbent works under the general supervision of the Training Support Officer. Supervisor relies on incumbent to independently plan, organize, and execute assignments. Work is reviewed/evaluated in terms of completion of overall goals and objectives.
Duties
Assist in the development of competency-based training programs.
Prepare/publish standard operating procedures such as system function descriptions and troubleshooting instructions.
Provide technical assistance to systems users.
Communicate with supervisor, leaders or commanders regarding training management requirements.
Configure audiovisual system components such as wireless microphones, sound systems, video cameras, sound system mixing consoles, and all related cabling.
Execute videography, audio recording and reinforcement, live streaming, and projection support in the facility.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
- Due to the nature of this position, employees are subject to work both planned and unscheduled irregular tours of duty, which includes evenings, weekends and holidays.
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
- This position has a requirement to lift up to 45 lbs. in the regular performance of duties.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that demonstrates a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction, which includes 1.) Assisting with training and the development of training processes and functions, 2.) Assisting in resolution of issues with resident training programs, 3.) Developing or reviewing programs of instruction (POl)/lesson plans/course materials and 4.) Applying training principles and techniques to provide subject-matter classroom instruction. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
OR
Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree with a major study in education or a subject area related to the position to be filled, such as, Instructional design, Adult Education, etc.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages
