You will serve as a MODELING AND SIMULATION SPECIALIST in the G-7 Division of USMC FORCES SPECIAL OPERATIONS CMD.
Duties
You will review mission profiles, operational concepts, tactical, operational and technical employment techniques.
You will conduct studies to review the effectiveness of current and projected training operations, recommending changes to training scenarios to enhance training realism.
You will plan and execute Live, Virtual, Constructive (LVC) exercise programs based on modeling and simulation guidance and regulations.
You will draft policies and procedures on simulation methods, digital and virtual training at MARSOC facilities and will prepare papers or briefs in support of training management.
You will use qualitative and quantitative methods to analyze current training effectiveness, recommending modeling and simulation technological innovation to improve training effectiveness.
You will compile, consolidate, review and analyze modeling and simulation budget and manpower estimates, develop cost budget analysis and budget forecasts.
You will oversee contractors during war games and simulations and will serve as a contractive representative for contractors performing digital, virtual and constructive training simulation at MARSOC.
Requirements

- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Analyzing and evaluating the effectiveness of current and projected training operations, developing plans and procedures for modeling and simulations for training and exercises, coordinating training objectives and exercise requirements AND managing operational resources for an organization.
