You will serve as a RANGE CONTROL OFFICER in the G-3/5, RANGE AND TRAINING AREA MANAGEMENT DIVISION of the MARINE CORPS BASE.
Duties
You will review and approve correspondence pertaining to range operation and allocation.
You will assure that regulatory requirements are met.
You will supervise the development and enforcement of the range safety program and installation range safety publications.
You will ensure proper training classes are conducted for laser operations and Range Safety Officer certification aboard the base.
You will develop, publish, and coordinate procedures for Range and Training Area (RTA) medical evacuation and response management.
You will conduct inspections of the range activities and or facilities as necessary to ensure compliance with policy and procedures.
You will plan and manage the budget for the Range Control Branch, ensuring that resources are properly planned to support the integrated range surveillance system and other range safety systems.
You will conduct Training Mishap investigations.
Requirements

- You must possess a current valid United States driver’s license.
- You must be a graduate of the Intermediate Range Safety Officer's Course presented by the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC).
- You must be a graduate of the Military Airspace Management Course or the Range Airspace Management Course.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Collecting, compiling, and conducting special studies, developing approaches and methods to improve range operations, reviewing and approving correspondence pertaining to range operation, conducting inspections of range activities and facilities, and interpreting regulations and directives.
