You will serve as a CAPABILITIES DEVELOPMENT OFFICER in the MARINE RAIDER REGIMENT of USMC FORCES SPECIAL OPERATIONS CMD.
Duties
You will locate and monitor various reports, lessons learned, and market research to determine deficiencies in order to validate and prioritize capability requirements and gaps directly associated to military tasks.
You will provide alternatives/options for the commander to best prioritize and field material capability solutions for the warfighter in a timely manner.
You will coordinate with subordinate units and utilize knowledge of equipping challenges, trends, and current capabilities in equipment to close capability gaps for future threats.
You will serve as a duty expert on regimental capability development priorities.
You will maintain a tracker with the current status of all capability development related initiatives, projects, and requests.
You will generate reports that summarize accomplishments over a specific timeframe.
Requirements

- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final TOP SECRET (SCI) security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Provide expertise on acquisition processes, to include in-depth knowledge of the military Joint Capability operations; analyze market research, testing, development, evaluation and process for procurement and sustainment of combat requirements; monitor after action reports on special Operations debriefing to research market deficiencies to validate, and prioritize capability gaps; and provide briefings with a diverse audience to coordinate and/or influence mission issues.

NOTE:
A bachelor's degree in any discipline is preferred, as this demonstrates advanced analytical techniques and the ability to understand, interpret, and explain complex concepts and issues in written correspondence, papers, and planning documents. Substantial experience, knowledge, and/or degree in business, financing, supply chain management, acquisition, testing, and procurement fields is preferred as to demonstrate significant
levels of personal agility, resourcefulness, professional communication skills, and management capability.
