Duties

Responsible for establishing and guiding the Agency's Decision Advantage and synchronization efforts across Agency programs and processes. Oversee a functional center of excellence supporting data, metrics, visualizations, and future capabilities to deliver capabilities faster, collaborating with the DLA J6 Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence (CDAO),... ...Artificial Intelligence Center of Excellence (AICOE) to meet the changing needs of the Department of Defense mission. Collaborate with various process areas for program, project, and Agency issues, impacting existing and future operational support. Lead the functional direction for data, metrics, analysis, visualizations, the Logistics Common Operating Picture, and future capabilities. As part of this activity, he/she may direct operations research and special studies. Oversee overall planning, direction, and timely execution of program, project, and effort objectives, including approving multi-year and long-range work plans developed by subordinate supervisors/Branch Chiefs.

Qualifications

To qualify for a Director, Decision Advantage, your resume and supporting documentation must support: A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-15 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Experience planning, directing, coordinating, reviewing and approving products produced by their team for a variety of occupational specialties. Experience coordinating assigned programs, providing technical direction and oversight necessary to assure mission accomplishment. Experience adjudicating data visualization issues that cannot be resolved and managing data/metrics functional requirements and coordinates crucial changes to impacted and supporting systems. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
