About the Position: Serves as a Supervisory Deputy Product Manager (DPM) for an assigned Program Executive Office (PEO). As the assigned responsible management official, provides overall direction and guidance for the development, acquisition, testing, product improvements, fielding, and sustainment of the project.
Duties
Oversee planning, cost estimating, program planning, programming, budgeting, program integration, interoperability, and oversight.
Direct the development of life cycle documentation for assigned projects and funds.
Develop a comprehensive time-phased and budgeted program designed to meet mission requirements.
Interface with external stakeholders on all matters effecting program execution.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Selectee must meet the DoDI 5000.66 requirements applicable to the Career Category of Program Management and Practitioner Career Level Certification must be met within 60 Months.
- Incumbent is required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450 and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
- This position requires the incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 50% of the time.
- One year trial/probationary period may be required.
- This position may require a mobility agreement as a condition of employment.
- This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one-year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.

Specialized Experience: This typically includes work performed at the next lower grade/level (NH-03/GS-13) position in the federal service.1) managing and executing responsibility for cost, schedule, performance and risk within an acquisition program; and 2) advising on program operations in various areas of the defense acquisition process for program execution such as development, test and evaluation, contracting, production, and financial management; and 3) reviewing planning, cost estimating, or life cycle documentation to ensure program objectives are met; and 4) coordinating, integrating, and leading efforts associated with the acquisition process required for effective program management.
This is a DoD Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project (AcqDemo) position in the NH-04 broadband with an advertised pay range from the lowest equivalent GS grade 14 Step 1 to the highest equivalent GS 15 grade step 10 in the broadband.
