About the Position: This position is located in US Army Aviation & Missile Command, G-3 Operations, G-3M Materiel Readiness Division, Redstone Arsenal, AL.
Duties
Serve as a Program Manager concerned with overall planning, direction, and success of major programs
Represent the command on high level committees and groups
Establishes and controls milestone schedules, budgets and costs to ensure program success
Serve as a recognized authority and expert consultant to the Commander on assigned programs
Perform full range of performance management duties
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
- Must complete a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE 450, initially and annually thereafter.
- May be required to travel away from the duty station up to 10% of the time.
- Must complete a one-year supervisory probationary period, if not previously completed.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.
To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: 1) understanding of the Army Quality Program; 2) communicating with senior command representatives to represent organization mission; 3) identifying the abilities and capacities within the program. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal service (NH-03 or GS-14) or equivalent pay band.
