Duties
You will ensure that required Planned Maintenance (PMs) are being performed for Utilities assets at the Public Works Departments and Critical Infrastructure Departments.
You will develop and/or review existing job plans to ensure plans are in accordance with operator
equipment manuals, standard operating procedures, industry standards and national codes.
You will prepare cost benefit analysis on various operations concerning business case funding requests to replace or repair equipment or structure due to a direct result Planned Maintenance (PM) failures.
You will inform and recommend alternative solutions to accommodate for times of reduced personnel availability to the chain of command.
You will develop and implement a quality assurance checklist to use and assess Planned Maintenance (PM)
standards that meet site-specific requirements.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- This position may require travel to places within and outside the contiguous United States which could include remote or isolated sites. You may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- May be required to obtain a VISA dependent on the overseas country's laws/regulations. Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.

Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Subject matter expert for program oversight on utility preventative / planned maintenance program activities to include job plans, asset inventory, and work order management. Extensive background on preventive maintenance and inspections of utilities structural components, mechanical, electrical, and steam equipment as it relates to the system. Analyze and evaluate preventive maintenance requirements, repair, and construction based on specific frequencies or risk factors on critical utilities infrastructure or systems.
