You will serve as an Administrative/Technical Specialist in the Corporate Operations Department, Human Resources Division, Recruiting, Staffing and Classification Branch of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CTR CORONA DIV.

Duties

You will serve as the Corona Division Demonstration Project Manager and Lead for the following: Recruiting and Student Programs, and Staffing and Classification. You will lead, coach, and mentor specialists within Code 1013, as well as NSWC Corona hiring managers and recruiters. You will apply a wide range of recruitment and placement concepts, practices, regulations, precedents, and procedures and special recruiting authorities in the performance of lead functions over a Recruiting and Student program. You will provide leadership advice on recruiting and student programs policies, procedures, issues, scenarios, and workforce requirements. You will develop training presentations and technical briefings in support of the local staffing and classification program to ensure competency development for specialists. You will conduct quality assessment reviews on all staffing actions to ensure they are processed accurately. You will analyze hiring plans to determine vacancies and current recruitment needs, coordinate recruiting events, and forecast recruiting challenges and future mission demands. You will provide advice and support to the Warfare Center Demo Project Manager, reviewing and analyzing current Demo Project policies and processes and recommending changes to policy or operations that benefit not only Corona but all Warfare Centers.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: evaluating staffing and recruitment needs to identify hiring strategies, provide recommendations, and communicate staffing and placement practices to hiring managers in accordance with Federal Human Resources laws, rules, procedures, and regulations.
