About the Position: This position is located at Fort Riley, Kansas.
Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.
Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes.
Duties
Coordinate and interact extensively with the Army Substance Abuse Program (ASAP) proponent to ensure Irwin Army Community Hospital (IACH) compliance with Army requirements.
Notify Department Chiefs and management officials of employees randomly selected for drug testing.
Serve as assistant on matters pertaining to IACH’s workforce management activities.
Provide administrative support, assistance and information to IACH supervisors on a wide variety of actions, issues, problems and questions that affect IACH employees.
Serve as primary administrator for the Defense Performance Management and Appraisal Program (DPMAP), the performance management program for civilian employees.
Monitor timely completion of performance plans and appraisals.
Use a variety of automated systems and computer applications.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- A Personnel Security Investigation is required.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing a wide variety of technical, administrative, and clerical tasks, such as: scheduling appointments, review and managing paperwork and files for completion and accuracy, establishing suspense files, and using a variety of software applications. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-6).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.
