Duties
Analyze and interpret various civilian and military regulations, procedures, and policy directives.
Serve as the primary point of contact for information regarding the requirements for and preparation of a variety of reports, administrative procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Supervise and manage the HR Division.
Advise subordinate supervisors (and non-supervisory employees in the absence of their supervisor) of performance expectations.
Plan and evaluate required workforce higher-level programs, staffing requirements, position description development, position management and classification, and manpower assessments.
Evaluate the progress of organizational transformation efforts.
Provide administrative oversight in the effective management of special programs.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
- One-year supervisory probationary period required. A one-year probationary period is required if the selectee has not previously met this requirement.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) evaluating or analyzing policies, procedures or regulations; 2) developing policies or programs to support organizational needs or goals; 3) providing administrative guidance to staff; and 4) assisting with planning the work of subordinates. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
