This position is located in Management Directorate, Office of Administration, Logistics Management Division.
As a Staff Assistant, you will independently perform a full range of administrative support, technical and analytical duties, and a variety of liaison activities for the division. You will also provide oversight of the division's acquisition life cycle activities from planning through to closeout.
Duties
Develops and advises on administrative requirements for the division.
Responsible for consolidating division's budget projections; analyzing and ensuring alignment with the division's contract requirements and revised operational requirements.
Collaborates with division and office leadership to write, review, edit, and finalize handbooks, standard operating procedures, news articles, and data calls intended for audiences across the agency.
Serves as the organization's property custodian and manages all aspects of personal property for all organizational staff.
Conducts research on a variety of documents and issues for the division to identify and recommend solutions to resolve problems that improve efficiency of administrative operations.
Serves as a purchase card holder responsible for funding controls, ensuring proper authorization, and responding to audit requests.
Serves as an office liaison and initial point of contact for the division chief by facilitating requests for information and by coordinating new and departing employee activity.
Qualifications
The qualifications for this position must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 11/12/2024.
Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. The Time-in-Grade requirement must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 11/12/2024.
GS-12: You qualify at the GS-12 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to at least the GS-11 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have experience performing the following duties:
Writing and reviewing informational and instructional documents and guidance
Performing budget planning and execution activities
Assisting and advising leadership on organizational activities
Making recommendations on process improvements
