This position is located in the Records and Systems Support Division, Service Center Operations Directorate. As a Supervisory Project Manager, you will engage with major organizational components to coordinate the unit's engagement in an information technology modernization and transformation program.

Duties

Direct multiple projects to ensure that the priorities of organization are executed in a timely manner. Plan the work to be accomplished by subordinate staff, set and adjust priorities, prepare schedules for completion of the work. Responsible for the evaluation of the effectiveness/efficiency of program operations throughout the agency considering cost effectiveness, attainment of goals/objectives, and compliance with legal/regulatory guidelines. Monitor the progress of multiple projects and project team members, facilitate team communication, coordination, and document clearance. Maintain project schedules, identify and solve problems that are likely to cause delays, and communicate potential delays to leadership. Manage business requirement documents (i.e., IT systems requirements) and oversee project dockets and administrative records. Improve the ongoing implementation of assigned projects, while ensuring efficiency and cost effectiveness in coordinating projects.

The qualifications for this position must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 03/01/2024. Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. The Time-in-Grade requirement must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 03/01/2024. GS-15: You qualify at the GS-15 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to at least the GS-14 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have experience performing the following duties: Providing technical and administrative supervision to staff who support and analyze critical organizational programs and applications; Coordinating with organizational peers and leaders to establish unit priorities, policies, objectives, and long-range plans; Overseeing the development of business requirements for information technology (IT) systems. Representing the organization in working groups and at conferences that focus on complex immigration issues.
