You will serve as a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN in the G-3/5, TRAINING MANAGEMENT SUPPORT DIVISION of MARINE CORPS BASE.

Duties

You will process and maintain supply records, hand receipts and property accountability records. You will maintain quarterly Custodian Asset Report (CAR) accounts and daily transaction listings. You will research and resolve minor problems that are identified during Custodian Asset Report (CAR) reconciliations. You will serve as the primary Department credit card purchaser. You will establish and maintain a system of credit card purchases, reconcile monthly transactions with current banking institution, and maintain current status of all credit card purchases. You will advise customers on the status of purchase requests and follow up with vendors to ensure prompt delivery of items. You will be required to load and unload goods. You will operate motor vehicles and trucks to transport supplies, materials, equipment, and tools.

• You must obtain and maintain proper Non-Tactical vehicle (NTV) 4x4 training. and licensing within 6 months of hire.
• You must obtain a forklift license within 6 months of hire.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card to make official government purchases for goods and services.
• You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
• You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing supply support through supply procurement, inventory control and maintenance of supply databases.
