You will serve as a Management Analyst in the Protocol Office, Mission Support Division, Code 120800 of NAVAL RESEARCH LABORATORY.

Duties
You will report to NRL's Protocol Officer, assisting with overall operational duties of the Protocol office, and serve as back up in the Protocol Officer's absence.
You will assist in arranging and executing visits by senior officials and foreign dignitaries to include proving NRL senior leadership advice and consultation.
You will meet with NRL's Commanding Officer and/or Director of Research to discuss agendas for each visit and draft an agenda.
You will assist with organizing and arranging lunches to include providing menu selections, paying careful attention to various restrictions.
You will compile guest lists and track RSVPs, prepare folders, collect receipt of clearances, arrange for badges and transportation, escort visitors, reserve visit location, and request IT support.
You will collect briefs for "read ahead" for each visit, ensuring information is correct and relevant.
You will interpret and apply policies and procedures pertaining to conducting successful protocol visits.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least 3 years of general experience that includes one year of experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-01/04) or pay band (NO-01) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. General experience shows the ability to 1) analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions; 2) plan and organize work; and 3) communicate effectively orally and in writing.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
- successful completion of a four year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree; OR
- combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
