About the Position: Position conducts strategic planning, analysis, and participates in policy matters, initiatives, and issues in the development of enlisted and officer human resource programs, guidance, and policies. Position is in Human Resources Command (HRC), Enlisted Personnel Management Directorate (EMPD), at Fort Knox, Kentucky.
Duties
Conduct face-to-face sessions with key staffs within the staff to cultivate current and future interest of the command.
Develop strategy for resolution of issues and initiatives.
Provide analysis on a broad scope of personnel management issues.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Tier 3 (NCS/SECRET) background investigation.
- Must be able to perform business related travel up to 10% of the time.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the requirement has already been met.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which execute a range of administrative functions in support of the organization's mission which requires accomplishing various personnel actions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
Education
Some Federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for required experience to qualify. For this position, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone. Substitution of education for experience is NOT permitted.
