About the Position: Incumbent serves as the Senior Force Management and Manpower Analyst for the US Army Recruiting Command. Incumbent is responsible for developing manpower related policies and obtaining manpower requirements and allocations.

Duties

Directs installation-wide activities for the command’s manpower management program. Aids in the implementation of a manpower survey program to measure the operability of command programs. Provides policy guidance to subordinate analyst involved in the management of the manpower program. Coordinates with multiple command components to resolve issues regarding the implementation of approved Manpower Staffing Standards and functional assessments. Analyzes command structure and restructuring proposals to determine appropriate staffing levels. Validates manpower requirements to support the command’s existing and projected training program.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 15% of the time.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Oral CommunicationPlanning and EvaluatingProblem Solving Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
