You will serve as an IT SPECIALIST (CUSTSPT) in the NAVAL SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT ACTIVITY.
This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.
Duties
You will serve as an advocate for the customer and principal advisor to the Senior Customer Relationship Manager and the Division Chief on all Information Technology (IT) matters aligned to the customer-base they support within the Enterprise.
You will work with a technical team of Government employees and Contractors executing Enterprise IT and customer relationship management activities, ensuring key incidents and trends are identified and communicated appropriately.
You will be responsible for a wide range of IT support functions for assigned customer requirements, maintaining a detailed knowledge of customer needs related to various tailored IT products and services.
You will serve as a two-way communication channel providing customers timely updates on changes in IT planning and support, while relaying customer feedback and requirements through the chain of command.
You will perform project management activities through all phases of the project lifecycle (initiation, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling and closing).
You will perform other duties as assigned.

- This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code 411, proficiency level Advanced the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience includes duties related to the following:
Coordinating with the Senior Customer Relations Manager, maintaining surveillance of short, midterm and long-range plans pursuant to Enterprise IT objectives;
Vetting customer IT requirements, to determine the best fit for the customer as well as the Enterprise;
Facilitating IT project execution from start-to-finish ensuring correlation with customers, stakeholders, and organizational goals.
Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
