You will serve as a COMMAND REVIEW AND INVESTIGATIONS DIRECTOR at TRIDENT REFIT FACILITY, BANGOR.

Duties

You will conduct comprehensive, targeted, and special interest items inspections, evaluations and reviews that are virtually critical to the successful accomplishment of the Commands mission as mandated and/or tasked by higher authority. You will conduct inspections and reviews in accordance with Department of Defense, Department of Navy, and NAVSEA IG generally recognized inspection standards, accounting principles, and auditing techniques, including the use of sampling methods. You will assess program progress towards achieving goals and objectives and advise senior leadership on the efficiency and effectiveness of command operations. You will gather information, identify and analyze issues, and develop recommendations to resolve substantive problems of the effectiveness and efficiency of work operations . You will execute complex investigations involving payroll fraud, travel fraud, personnel management, waste, or mismanagement of resources, standards of conduct, etc. You will investigate a variety of fraud, waste, abuse and mismanagement complaints involving DON programs including: acquisition irregularities, financial management, military and civilian personnel management and ethics violations etc. You will be responsible for complete coordination and execution of the Integrated Risk Management (IRP) Program.

  • Per E.O. 14043, selectee(s) must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 by 11/22/2021 or date of employment (which ever comes later) except in limited circumstances where an exception is approved due to a disability or sincerely held religious beliefs.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Assessing the overall efficiency and integrity of an organization focusing on high-risk areas susceptible to fraud, waste, abuse or mismanagement to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of command operations and ensure regulatory compliance.
