About the Position: This position is located at the Human Resources Command, The Adjutant General Directorate, Evaluations Selections and Promotions Division, Fort Knox, KY.

Duties

Clarifies approved actions, develops courses of action to resolve any discrepancies which may occur by discussion with principle personnel involved. Coordinates policies and procedures with higher echelons and other agencies including PERSCOM, FORSCOM, DRC, USAR, DRU, RSC, etc. Resolves and prepares technical information and discussion papers, reports, messages, etc., provides verbal expert technical assistance on all aspects of the managed programs to all levels. Plans, coordinates and assists in the development of policies and procedures for the implementation of programs concerning the life cycle management of officer, enlisted and retired military personnel and their family members.

Requirements

  • This position may require temporary duty (TDY) travel up to 10% of the time.
  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Participates in planning, organizing, analyzing and implementing management concepts to enhance Command programs. Provides verbal expert technical assistance on all aspects of the managed programs to all levels. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).

Education

Some Federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for required experience in order to qualify. For this position, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone. Substitution of education for experience is NOT permitted.
