You will serve as a ADMINISTRATIVE SPECIALIST in the COMPTROLLER (11000) of NAVWARSYSCEN ATLANTIC CHARLESTON SC.
Duties
You will apply knowledge of the Financial Improvement Audit Remediation (FIAR), Navy Working Capital Fund (NWCF) concepts and procedures, and DOD Financial Management Regulations (DOD FMR 7000.14).
You will assist in ensuring financial data is processed and reported accurately and in accordance with Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
You will review and investigate financial variances, analyzes and makes recommendations for improving financial data and processes that support the financial statement
You will recommend process improvements/controls that mitigate deficiencies/risk or achieve efficiencies.
You will ensure management is kept apprised through regular updates, prepare reports and draft responses to financial data calls for supervisory review and concurrence.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-9 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Participate in the development of a wide range of financial plans, as they pertain to finance and accounting, in order to ensure accuracy in reporting and certifying results pertinent to financial execution..

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.M., if related
