This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Acq Demo Business and Technical Management to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
Duties
This position is part of the Department of Defense (DoD), Missile Defense Agency. The incumbent will be responsible for serving as technical coordinator for the continuous operation (24 hours a day/7 days a week) of the MDA Administration and General Services Computer Network Defense Service Provider (CNDSP) Analysis Function which encompasses 9 global regions and more than 9,000 unclassified and classified users.
This position is being filled under the memorandum from the Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness (USD(P&R)) "Expansion of Direct Hire Authority for Certain Personnel of the Department of Defense," dated October 15, 2021.
This position is being filled under AcqDemo Direct Hiring Authority (DHA) for non-acquisition positions involving 51% or more of time in direct support of acquisition positions within Business and Technical Management Professional Career path.
As a IT Specialist (Network/Security) at the NH-2210-3 broadband level some of your typical work assignments may include:
Serves as technical coordinator for the continuous operation (24 hours a day/7 days a week) of the MDA Cybersecurity.
Service Provider (CSSP) which provides continuous monitoring of sites around the globe and of more than 11,000 unclassified and classified users.
Manages and monitors CND performance metrics for IT contracts.
Advises supervisory personnel on matters related to analysis, audit, and remediation for the protection of Missile Defense Agency information and resources.
Prepares and presents IT briefings and participates in multi-disciplinary IT teams comprised of technical and managerial professionals.
Manage program requirements, objectives, and metrics; and resolves conflicts among schedules, funding, and resources.
Provides advice and assistance to management and colleagues on problems, conducts special studies, proposes solutions and alternatives; attends workshops, conferences, etc; and participates in the problem solving process by analysis of the situation and making recommendations.

Qualifications
You may qualify at the NH-03 broadband level, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-02/GS 11 grade level in the Federal service as listed below: Applicants are required to meet 2 of 4 statements in order to be qualified.
Providing technical advice, guidance, and recommendations on IT principles, concepts, methods, standards, and practices to a supervisor or higher-level specialist.
Applying the principles, practices, methods, and techniques of Cybersecurity and associated concepts and standards.
Managing Defensive Cybersecurity Operations (DCO) such as network monitoring, intrusion detection, response, mitigation, and analysis.
Implementing and adhering to Department of Defense Cybersecurity Service Provider (CSSP) processes.
