About the Position: Serves as a Logistics Management Specialist utilizing senior level skills and knowledge of Army Sustainment policy, procedures, automated logistics information systems and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications.

Duties

Defines general functional requirements for sustainment application software in conjunction with developing doctrinal automation architecture to specify appropriate requirements to be automated at each echelon of the Army. Develops, reviews, updates, validates, and revalidates concepts and concept statements for existing and emerging Army Logistics Information Systems (LIS), ERP applications and communications support requirements. Chairs tasks groups to analyze, evaluate and coordinate actions and plans, and resolves conflicting positions and operational concerns relative to all sustainment requirements. Project officer for special projects regarding actions related to the development, test, implementation and maintenance of automated systems to include coordination and/or development of functional and technical design and resource requirements. Brief recommendations to senior management and subordinate units on achieving operational readiness status.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
• Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
• Incumbent may be required to travel 50% of time and must be physically able to do so.
