You will serve as a PRODUCTION MANAGER within the Special Operations Systems and Support Services Branch (S11) of NAVSURFWARFCTR PANAMA CITY DIVISION. The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently $134,435).

Duties

You will support the SEAL Delivery Vehicle (SDV) in the Undersea Mobility product area. You will apply practical knowledge in the fields of engineering technology and engineering materials and equipment. You will be familiar with the methods and techniques of development and testing. You will develop management and/or program evaluation plans, procedures, and methodology for use in the management and direction of programs. You will create work flow analysis methods, tools and techniques, data types, methodologies, procedures, and processes as they relate to the function, mission, and capabilities of assigned projects. You will review administrative audit and investigative reports to determine appropriate changes or corrective action requirements. You will review and evaluate Non-Destructive Testing methodologies and support personnel, budget, security, and office processes. You will maintain underwater equipment, electrical and mechanical systems, and oxygen clean systems and spaces. You will evaluate technical information to provide advice and guidance to managers, supervisors, peers and sponsors.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band, NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalency), in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applying technical expertise while overseeing development and testing to enhance operational efficiency and implement management strategies for the enhancement or optimization of underwater equipment and systems.
