About the Position: This position is located in the U.S. Army Engineer School, Fort Leonard Wood, MO.
Fort Leonard Wood is located in the beautiful South-Central Missouri Ozarks. The Fort covers more than 61,000 acres and is located in Pulaski County, bordering Waynesville/St. Robert and Interstate 44. St. Louis is a 2-hour drive east and Springfield is a 1-hour drive west of Fort Leonard Wood.
Duties
Plan, direct, coordinate and supervise the division's operating programs, functions and missions.
Plan, coordinate, supervise and evaluate the activities involved in the development, writing, and implementation of construction engineer training and doctrine publications.
Serve as the main briefer for all high level tours conducted at Horizontal Skills Division training area.
Serve as first-line supervisor for civilian and military personnel engaged in performance of training instructor and development functions.
Ensure Interservice Training Review Organization (ITRO) agreements are executed and implemented according to the established standards.
Plan, direct and review procedures and process for providing supplies and equipment for the Horizontal Skills Division.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that demonstrates a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction, which includes: developing training products for construction engineer career fields such as Program of Instructions, doctrinal material, lesson plans, and correspondence course programs; planning, scheduling and directing work of subordinates to ensure training mission is met; coordinating and ensuring Interservice Training Review Organization (ITRO) agreements are executed in accordance with established procedures; performing quality control/control procedures on military courses; scheduling courses; identifying and recommending solutions to training deviations and degradations; evaluating courses to ensure proper allocation of equipment, personnel and other resources; performing duties as hand receipt holder; applying Systems Approach to Training (SAT) knowledge to evaluate construction engineering training and courses; performing Supervisory administrative functions to include preparing performance standards and evaluations; identifying and providing training development needs; and interviewing and recommending appointment. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11 or above).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). All applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade and specialized experience requirements within thirty (30) days after the closing date of the announcements.
