You will serve as a SUPERVISORY QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST in the QUALITY ASSURANCE OFFICE CODE 130 of PSNS and IMF.
Duties
You will be responsible for the management of efficient and timely non-nuclear inspections performed on ships and material prescribed by cognizant technical authority or specification.
You will be responsible for constantly improving inspection programs and work processes and utilizing manpower and material resources and for ensuring material costs are directly linked to program objectives.
You will manage the shipyard Supplier Audit Program (SAP) to ensure continuous monitoring of parameters reflecting product and service quality compliance.
You will serve as the principle quality assurance consultant representative of the Quality Assurance Director and as a consultant to liaison with Shipyard and outside activities on non-nuclear quality assurance matters.
You will plan and direct quality assurance programs pertaining to: development and improvement of quality and analysis methods; investigation of material procurement and establishment of material controls, work instructions, and work processes.
You will assure equity in performance standards and ratings among subordinate units and decide on problems presented by subordinate supervisors, evaluate subordinate supervisors, and review ratings by subordinate supervisors.

- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: planning and overseeing quality assurance studies or assessments; monitoring, controlling, or maintaining the quality of products or services in quality assurance, procurement, inspection, production, or related areas for the overhaul, conversion or repair of ships.
