You will serve as a ASSISTANT RANGE AND SIMULATIONS OFFICER in the RANGE AND SIMULATIONS DIVISION (N96) of COMNAVSPECWARDEVGRU.
Duties
You will conduct surveys and assessments of civilian range and training areas to ensure they meet safety standards for the planned training to be conducted by Naval Special Warfare personnel.
You will assist in the development of Naval Special Warfare Development Group Range and Simulations Division directives, policies, procedures, memorandums of understanding and interservice support agreements.
You will perform a wide variety of administrative, military and civilian personnel management duties.
You will provide subordinates the requirement and descriptions of the work to be performed, and track progress.
You will provide advice, recommendations, and assistance to the Contracting Officer regarding acceptance of work, payments, and modifications to the contracts as well as attending contract conferences as requested by the Contracting Officer.

- Must obtain and maintain certifications for Range Operations Safety.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. You will be required to sign a DD-Form-2760, Qualification to possess firearms or ammunition.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Planning, coordinating, oversight, technological development, and/or construction/acquisition planning for range and simulations programs.
