About the Position: Serve as a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist with the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) located at Fort Irwin, in San Bernardino Ca. The pay band NH-03 includes the General Schedule grade equivalent to GS-12/13.

Duties
Ensure compliance with policies and recommends policy changes to fit requirements of missions.
Identify problems and develop innovative solutions.
Represent the organization on high-level boards, committees, and study groups regarding logistic management issues.
Incorporate ways to improve business processes increasing the quality of work and production.
Perform the full range of administrative and technical supervisory duties.
Make decisions on training needs and training requests related to employees of the unit.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must obtain and maintain a Secret clearance throughout duration of employment.
- This position requires pre-employment Financial Disclosure Statement OGE Form 450 and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
- This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously complete.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position Advanced). Must meet position requirements for Life Cycle Logistics certification within 48 months as of entrance on duty.
- One-year probationary period may be required.
- Incumbent may be required to be mobile for worldwide assignments as the needs of the service dictate. Selection and retention in this position may require incumbent to sign mobility agreement.

Specialized experience: To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience which includes:1)Implementing logistics policies, processes, and/or programs for highly complex weapon systems acquisition in the areas of aviation logistics support; AND 2)Developing solutions to multipart challenges in support of mission objectives; AND 3)Providing guidance on logistical policies and/or procedures to team members with varying skill sets.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
