Duties

Serve as Logistics Management Officer advising the SPO and Brigade Commander on all aspects of logistics management, plans, programs, resource allocation, and support operations of the Brigade. Direct and oversee the management and programs for the following branches: Supply and Services Branch, Maintenance Branch, Plans Branch, Quality Assurance Surveillance Ammunition Specialist (QASAS) Branch and the Support Operations Center (SOC). Establish and implement policies about administration and personnel management along with training and utilization.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Required to obtain and maintain secret clearance throughout appointment.
  • May require one-year supervisory probation period.

Specialized Experience: Have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service which includes the following. Integrate and coordinate the separate functions of the Installation in planning and implementing logistical management programs. Plan for and evaluate logistical readiness through the compilation and analysis of data, to perform long and short-range planning for mission support. Plan, direct and manage the logistics activities for the execution of logistical planning and coordination, along with program responsibilities in the accomplishment of the assigned mission. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).

Education cannot be used as a substitution for experience for this position.
