You will serve as an EDUCATION TECHNICIAN in the GRADUATE MEDICAL EDUCATION DEPARTMENT, OFFICER PROGRAM DIRECTORATE, NAVMEDLEADPRODEVCMD BETHESDA.
Duties
You will provide essential guidance and assistance to officers assigned to Full Time In-service (FTIS) education
You will deliver independent program support to FTIS trainees, both selected and pre-selected for Graduate Medical Education
You will foster direct collaboration with the Heads of Medical Corps Professional Programs and Graduate Medical Education Programs within the Officer Programs Directorate
You will offer expert guidance, advice, direction, and the implementation of quality improvement initiatives
You will oversee graduate medical education policies to ensure the effective execution of programs under the Officer Programs Directorate's purview.
You will provide expert management of the 12-month planning cycle from the selection of FTIS interns, residents, and fellowship applicants
You will ensure compliance with directives, processing applications, and result distribution,
You will analyze and report on the status of the education programs and trainees.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience monitoring the receipt, process, and disposition of graduate medical education trainees for accredited education programs
Experience providing strategic advisory services for Graduate Medical Education programs by analyzing regulatory guidance, administrative policies, and procedural changes.
Experience planning & organizing the administrative & logistics requirements for large annual meetings (e.g., Graduate Medical Education Selection Board)
Experience preparing reports, charts, graphs, statistical and narrative data, and decision points for use in top level presentations and briefings

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.M., if related
